Your Ramasside Tours guide and manager will be waiting at Alexandria Port for you. They will be holding a sign showing your name. You do not need to look for them – they will be waiting for you and will find you.
From the moment your tour starts, your guides will give you full attention. Once in the car, your guide will talk to you about all the things on the way as well as other aspects of your tour that will interest you.
Begin your journey by stepping into the depths of history at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a subterranean necropolis that has intrigued historians and explorers alike. Here, a breathtaking Masterpiece Tomb, a stunning testament to the fusion of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artistry. They were accidentally discovered when a donkey disappeared through the ground, unveiling one of Alexandria's most remarkable archaeological sites. You will also drive by Pompay’s Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century).
The next stop is the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit it’s open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby.

Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.
The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa. Through your drive you will see the old downtown and the local historical architecture which has baroque style designs and Italian and French style properties.
Then the Excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins: We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria's Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that it’s not allowed to visit inside these excavation sites but will enjoy an external view.
Optional lunch at at a modern Fish Restaurant or a famous and traditional Alexandrian food place called Mohamed Ahmed’s. The Queen of Spain and many famous people go there when they visit Alexandria.
The car will then take you to visit the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque,(Photo Stop) and the strangest sight outside it: an old funfair where children play on very antique funfair rides and eat candy floss.
Opposite is the corniche and the old harbour where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Drive to visit Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancinet Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world. Once inside, you will see all parts of the castle and also go on the roof to see a panoramic view of the whole city.
On your way back you pass by the bridge of Stanley the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, built by Alexander the great, then travel in comfort back to your hotel.
